Senior Downstream Supply Chain Consultant - Fulltime - Rotterdam (NL)

Our consultants help clients design, optimize, and strengthen their E2E Supply Chain set-up and infrastructure, with a strong focus on operating excellence and regulatory compliance.
As a Senior Downstream Supply Chain Consultant, you will play a key role in complex international projects across the Pharma, Biotech, and Life Sciences industries. You combine strategic insight with hands-on commercial distribution expertise and are comfortable operating in fast-paced, highly regulated environments.

You have solid knowledge of EU Pharma distribution regulations and industry best practices, enabling you to translate operational challenges into practical, scalable solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

Responsibilities: 

You will work closely with both client teams and AIM Delivery leadership, contributing directly to high-impact Commercial Supply Chain set-up and transformation projects across Europe and other regions. You will be working on projects covering: 

  • Distribution and logistics optimisation

  • 3PL selection and performance management

  • Warehouse and packaging operations

  • Supply Chain process improvement and operational excellence

  • Customer Service and Supply Chain planning

Requirements:

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics Management, (International) Business Management, Finance, Economics, or comparable

  • Approx. 5-10 years of (bio)pharma industry or consulting experience in Pharma & Supply Chain, Customer Service, Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain optimisation or comparable fields

  • A track record in integrating business and industry knowledge in developing solutions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Perfect in English; other languages (German, French, Dutch) are a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills 

  • Stakeholder management: politically sensitive and able to deal with different and changing (company) cultures, accustomed to Sr. Management level exposure and interaction

  • Solid experience in managing complex projects (time management)

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and autonomously

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances

  • Eligible to work in the Netherlands; you hold a valid work VISA
